Granite is a deep magma rock, formed by cooling and fortifying of the glowing magma in the depths of the Earth. Unlike marble, granite has calm, uniform appearance. The visual effect achieved by granite slabs is similar to that of ceramic tiles — each tile is almost identical with sand-like grain structure, while marble slabs have the so-called veins and warmer, softer, more elegant, and luxurious appearance. Uniqueness is all the difference. Granite is firmer and acid-resistant, but contains some radioactive elements. It is widely used in construction, for flooring in public and commercial buildings, as well as for monuments, curbs, and areas exposed to high wear such as kitchen counter tops. However, nothing can be compared to marble and onyx for exclusive interiors and places that exude luxury and sophistication. Marble will always be the right choice for those who don’t want boring space but one that looks like and is looked at and admired as a piece of art.
